(Brief Description / Abstract) :

Dr. Vijay Hiwarkar has joined DIAT on 30th September 2014 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Before joining DIAT, he worked in the Global R&D center, Crompton Geaves Ltd., Mumbai, as a Deputy Manager (Technology). He completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, in the year 2011. His current research interests include additive manufacturing of metals and alloys, friction stir welding/processing, thermo-mechanical processing, microstructure, and texture.
